Welcome to my very own web page!  I call it
Sam's Page
(I'm Sam, Yosemite Sam that is)

For those of you who don't know me,  I was born on May 12th of this year and I have 3 brothers and 2 sisters.  My parents, Chance, my dad and Sugar, my mom, named us all after Cartoon characters.  You can see the rest of the family on another page of this website.
I live here at home with my human and biological moms and I'm beginning my training to become a show dog.  I want to win a Group I at a show like my half-brother, Bentley, but I want to go on and take the BEST IN SHOW ribbon.  Have you seen them, they're bigger than I am!!! ( Okay, so I'm not very big yet, but I can think BIG).   I've already met my trainer and show handler and I know we're going to get along.  I like her, she has treats and likes to pick me up!

Here I am last Sunday, (Sept.14th) with my "BFF" and handler Sue Whaley.  I was on my best behaviour.  It sure was hot out there, but I showed off showing Sue how well I gaited. (I'd been practicing)

SEE!!

Oh, did I tell you that we weren't at a dog show but a Horse Show?  Well we were and here is a photo of me with another new friend Mollie B a   yearling Hunter Jumper.  I'd seen all the horses walking around, but just thought they were giant dogs.  They sure were pretty!

I'll be 6 months old in November.  If all goes well, I'll be entered in my first dog shows.  I'll give you more details later and hope some of you will come out to see me!

Later,
Sam

Guess what everyone....my sister came to visit this evening!  Her name was Wonder Woman but her name was changed and now she's Sugars'Creek Ms. Maggie (like Maggie Thatcher).  She's coming with me to meet my handler so that she can be entered in the dog shows in November too.  She's going to send me some more pictures so I'll post them when I get them.  I didn't tell her, but she's REALLY CUTE!

This is Raven.  She was my moms' best freind and they shared everything including me.  Raven died last night in her sleep, she was 13 years old.  We'll ALL miss her.

I got a note from my brother, Buzz, who lives in NYC.  He and his family are doing well and are in contact with my other brother Shazam who lives out on long island.  They're  people  are going to arrange play dates for them.  Hope they send me pictures.  Here's a new picture of Buzz and his owner (looks like a nice park to go walking).

Look at them!  My brothers, Buzz and Shaz, getting re-aquainted at a park somewhere in NYC!

I was so excited seeing my brothers that I took a new picture of myself so that you can see I'm growing too.

Yep, here I am and my age hasn't slowed me down a bit!
I just got a short note from my Uncle Stretch.  He and his mom were dancing at a dance fest and sent me some pictures.  Here's one.........he looks alot like me!
Today I am a show dog!!
Today I was entered in my very first dog show.  It was so exciting and I had such a good time running, skipping and jumping in the ring!  But the judge only wanted me to walk and behave myself.  BORRRRING!  Anyway after I settled down and did what she wanted,  GUESS WHAT..... I got two ribbons.  One blue for winning my age class and a purple and white one for Reserve Winners Dog!  Now I know what the judge wants and I'll have to do my best to behave in the ring.  I can see it now.....Ch. Sam (has a nice ring doesn't it?)

Here I am in the ring and here is a picture of my 2 ribbons .  I'll tell you what happens on Sat. & Sun. later.

Let me know how you think I'm doing so far.....
see 'ya soon,
Sam (future champion!)
PS;   My sister Maggie is older than I am by 3 puppies and didn't listen to me.   She jumped and skipped all over the ring and was excused. I told her there was no agility competition in this ring. Silly girl

News Update!  I got another Reserve Winners Dog ribbon on Saturday, but I didn't do much of anything on Sunday.  I did get a blue ribbon for my class,  6-9 mos. puppies.  I'm also happy to report that my sister Maggie behaved much better on Saturday and was really considered to recive resere winners bitch (that's dog talk for girl).  Sunday, like me nothing!
I'm still working on walking into my natural stack.  It all looks easy on TV but there's alot more to it!!!

Wow! Tis the season for Corgi Accomplishments!  This is my half-brother Stretch during is agility excercise for graduation.  He got the  fastest score of all the dogs as well as the most improved (seems he likes to create his own course at times).  Anyway, I'm proud of you Stretch!
Sam

My mom says I should wish everyone a Happy Holiday so.......
Happy Holidays  and here's hoping that we all have a wonderful New Year !
I got a great stuffed toy and a stocking full of doggy cookies and bones and a new collar and another chew toy and I don't know who this guy Santa is but i REALLY like him.  And if I ever see him I'll be sure not to bark and bite.  Mom and Maggie got neat stuff too.  Here are a few pictures of us on Christmas morning!
Gee, Santa, just what I wanted!
How'd you know????
Next year you'll get a LONG.....
LIST !
Mom says Christmas just wears her out!

I don't know why since Santa did all the work. She just laughed and told me to wait till I grow up and have pups.....(what is she talking about???)  Anyway, a great day was had by all and we had a lot of fun playing with the "grands".
